Input from 223,273 people was submitted to an online provincial government survey from June 24 to July 19 about the future of daylight time in B.C.

Along with the survey, there were 13 formal submissions from individuals, organizations and industry representatives giving added details on how keeping or scrapping daylight time would affect them.

A report on what the survey found will be completed in the coming weeks.

The Ministry of Attorney General said that the best course of action for B.C. will be determined by the survey results, along with consideration of decisions made in neighbouring areas.

The largest participation by region was 98,549 in the Lower Mainland, followed by Vancouver Island and the Sunshine Coast at 62,386.
