Work began on 16 new single family homes in the city last month, according to Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation numbers released Monday.
That's up slightly from 14 over the same month last year.
Year-to-date, the total now sits at 23, down from 30 by the same point last year.
There were also starts on four units of row housing and four units of apartment housing last month, compared to two units of semi-detached, zero units of row housing and 108 units of apartment housing by the same point in 2016.
