A 10-year-old child was located at a grow op Monday night in a residence in the 2200 block of Croft Road.
The child was placed in the care of the Ministry of Children and Family Development.
During the search at the residence investigators found evidence which led to a second search warrant on a residence on the 5100 block of Hepting Road.Prince George RCMP general duty officers with the assistance of the Detachment's Crime Reduction Unit and Downtown Enforcement Unit executed the warrant at 10:17 a.m.
A second marijuana grow operation was located.
There was significant damage done to the structure at both residences along with electrical and plumbing systems. This damage was deliberately done to establish the grow operations, making both residences unsafe.
The City of Prince George By-law Enforcement Unit has deemed both residences unfit for occupancy under the new Controlled Substances By-law that has been in effect since September 13, 2010.
Steps are being taken to address these issues and make the residences safe to occupy again.
About 80 marijuana plants were located in the two residences.Most were above average in size.
