An Art Show in Art Space tonight at 6 p.m. Painting Me Artwork and Serendipity Blossoms Art will present Inspired Adventures Art Show, above Books & Co., 1685 Third Ave. Original artwork and gifts for sale.

Prince George Farmers' Market goes outdoors every Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the corner of George Street and Third Ave., as well as an indoor market at 1074 Sixth Ave.

The Little Prince Steam Train is back for another season at Fort George Park. The train runs weekends from noon to 4 p.m. The 24-inch gauge train runs a half mile loop next door to Exploration Museum. Cost is $2 per person. For more information call 250-562-1612.

Pops in the Park takes place at Fort George Park Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. The Prince George Symphony Orchestra kicks off the season with the annual concert as music director Kevin Zakresky and several local soloists perform many familiar favorites.

Celtic Thunder: Mythology Tour goes on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at CN Centre. Stopping in Prince George on their North American tour, Celtic Thunder was named Top World Music Artist twice by industry's Billboard. Celtic Thunder's six male soloists Emmet Cahill, Keith Harkin, Ryan Kelly, George Donaldson, Neil Byrne and Colm Keegan are known for performing an eclectic mix of songs, ranging from traditional Irish fare to international hits such as The Boys are Back in Town and Sound of Silence, as well as original compositions by the musical director and composers Voices and Hunter's Moon. Doors open at 6:30 and tickets are at all tickemaster outlets.

Friday, Sept. 13, join the 2015 Canada Winter Games at Civic Plaza as they welcome two new partners. In honour of the announcement, and as a recognition of their investment in the 2015 Canada Winter Games Festivals program, the Games' organizers are throwing a free lunchtime concert and barbecue at 11:30 am. Everyone is welcome to attend.
