The second annual Team Power House Smokin' Hot Chili for Charity Cook-out takes place in the 1200 block of Fifth Ave., today from 11:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. For a $5 donation, eat a bowl of the best darn chili in town and a slice of corn bread. All proceeds are donated to Habitat for Humanity and to Kaitlin and baby Lincoln Marshall.

A fundraiser for Dorothy Horton, a lady who has breast cancer and whose daughter is terminally ill with a tumour on her brain stem and has a new baby, takes place Saturday. The event includes a dinner, dance and silent auction at the Treasure Cove Casino show lounge, featuring Chris Camilli providing the entertainment performing classic rock and modern country.
