The Northern Orchestra's The Conquering Heros offers two guest soloists, Roxi Dykstra and Darci Griffith-Gamerl, who are from the area and made their mark in music in the outside world, and are returning to their home base for the concert Saturday at 2:30 at the Prince George Playhouse. Tickets at the door are $10 for adults or $5 for students and seniors.

The Central Interior Zone Festival celebrates community theatre in Kersley this weekend. Tonight at 7:30, Williams Lake Studio Theatre presents Closer; Saturday at 12:30 Pocket Theatre (PG) presents Godfather Death and at 7:30 Williams Lake presents Over the River and Through the Woods. An awards cermony and BBQ will follow the last show on Saturday. Each show has a coffee critique with adjudicator Michael Armstrong and the winning show will go on to represent the zone at Mainstage in Kamloops in July.
