When AC/DC releases their latest album on Tuesday, local band The Killbillies will add some direct current to the event.
The album Rock Or Bust will be played in its entirety at Riley's Pub, with interludes by The Killbillies to add live rock dimensions to the AC/DC tribute. The event is a production of CFUR Radio, the university campus station.

Tonight at Cafe Voltaire, a rare night of music by Scottish Gaelic artist Andrew McFayden. His 8 p.m. show will be performed almost exclusively in Scottish Gaelic, in celebration of the language at the same time as the songs. No admission cost.
Children's author Glen Sargeant will be returning to Books And Company on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to launch the newest book in his Y-Files mystery series! Losers Weepers picks up less than a year after an alien visited Cedarville and finds the Y-Files Team struggling to rescue a tiger that has gotten loose from the circus. This free event (books will be for sale) brings the author into contact with the kids he writes for and the parents who appreciate it.

Nancy O's hosts Yukon folk-rock trio The Midnight Sons on Monday night. The group from north of 60 has been winning fans all over the southern north and their one-night-only appearances is already selling tickets.
Red Moon Road is returning to Prince George. After their appearance at Cold Snap 2014, the Winnipeg folk trio was anxious to return and this week they announced a date. As part of a Western Canada leg of their latest tour, they will crank up the acoustics at Art Space on Wednesday. Out of Alba, one of Prince George's favourite musical groups, will host their annual Christmas concert at Artspace on Dec. 21 at 7:30 p.m. "Blends of fiddle, pennywhistle, bodhran drum, guitar and voices will bring traditional and contemporary renderings of Celtic tunes and songs," said a statement from the venue. "This is the perfect way to celebrate the winter solstice." Tickets are $20 each and available at Books And Company. It is expected to be a sell-out.
The Community Arts Council is showing its latest art exhibition at the Studio 2880 gallery. The paintings of Kat Valcourt have been assembled under the title Plethora. See the display, free of charge, during business hours at the CAC's gift shop and ticket office in their complex at 2880 15th Avenue.

The Pink Champagne Dance Band will be bopping from the big stage on New Year's Eve. Ring in the city's 100th birthday year on Dec. 31 at the Civic Centre, and boogie with the stars. The event is a cocktail gala to raise funds for the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation. Join the Dance North Ballroom and Social Dance Club as community stars and their professional dance partners show off the showy choreography they have learned for this worthy cause.

Groop Gallery will feature the grand return of a Prince George favourite. Painter Anne Bogle has been away for several years but has come back to stay. The show features her most recent works - landscape, still-life and abstract - done in acrylics on canvas. Bogle is a member of famed Prince George painters group The Milltown Artists.
One of CN Centre's most requested shows will be coming back for an encore performance. The Very Best of Celtic Thunder returns to the CN Centre on March 14 for a very special evening.

The City of Prince George's 100th birthday will be celebrated by the nation's most beloved storyteller. Stuart McLean is coming back to our city with his Vinyl Cafe Roadshow. For the first time in his years of performances in Prince George, McLean and his company of fellow performers will take the stage at CN Centre for this auspicious occasion. The show is March 3.
