Welcome to Debby's is an all-improvised play about friendship, conversation, and everything that can only happen once, Friday at 8 p.m. at Umbrella Underground, basement of Aruntha's Ceylon Garden, 1215 Fifth Ave., rear entrance. Pottermania: A Day At Hogwarts goes Friday from 1 to 3 p.m. at the main branch of the public library, 887 Dominion St. Walk the halls of Hogwart and try a potions class, learn what Hogwarts house you would be sorted into during the costume-friendly event geared for children ages five to 12. Halloween Fairytale is to celebrate a Grimm time Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Railway and Forestry Museum. Admission is free with a non-perishable food donation to the Salvation Army Food Bank. Don't get frightened on the haunted tressel at 850 River Road.

Halloween Spooktacular at Huble Homestead goes Saturday from 3 to 8 p.m. Wear costumes and join in the crafts and activities for children, magic shows, a haunted maze, hot drinks and snacks in the General Store. The brave at heart can tour the House of Horrors, $3 per tour. Family admission is $10. Remember this is an outdoor event in the dark as the days get shorter, so bring a flashlight, wear waterproof shoes, and dress warmly. Sit Down, Servant!! at the Twisted Cork, 101-1157 Fifth Avenue, Sunday at 7:30. Gordie Johnson, front man for Canadian alt-rock legends Big Sugar and Grady and bass player for Wide Mouth Mason, is touring his new project, Sit Down, Servant!! that combines blues and gospel.

Five college kids go to a remote cabin in the woods - the perfect set up for a screamfest. On Saturday at 6 p.m. the Kinsmen Club of Prince George proudly presents Stand-up for Charity 12, at 777 Kinsmen Place, starring the hilarious Carter Hortie, a 20-year veteran of the North American comedy scene. Dog lovers can join in a doggone fun day Sunday at 4 p.m. at Duchess Dog Park, by Duchess Park secondary for Wag A Ween, a just for dogs event including interactive games like bobbing for dogs, musical sit and stay, pet and owner hide and seek and trick and treating for the dogs. Halloween awesomeness is at Books & Co, 1685 Third Ave. Come to a Halloween movie night. On Wednesday at 7:30 p.m., watch The Shining in the dark and empty -- and a little spooky -- bookstore. Come out for an evening of popcorn, pop, creepy Jack Nicholson and biggest-eyes-ever Shelley Duvall in celebration of Stephen King's new novel (and sequel to the Shining), Doctor Sleep. This event is open to all ages, but parents should use their discretion in sending their children.
