The Rick Stavely show goes Friday and Saturday night at 7:30 and then brings in the new year Dec. 31 at Nelly's Pub, 2280 Hart Highway.
New Year's Masquerade Party at Esther's Inn Dec. 31 beginning with dinner at 6 p.m. There will be dancing and a midnight champagne toast. Tickets are $70 at Esther's Inn, 1151 Commercial Crescent.
Boogie with the Stars, New Year's even at the Civic Centre, doors at 6 p.m., a multicultural buffet dinner at 7, a friendly dance competition at 8, where people will raise funds for the Spirit of the North Healthcare foundation, and the rest of the evening dedicated to dancing at 9 p.m., with entertainment provided by Steve Elliott who brings a tribute to Elvis to town for a rockin' New Year's Eve. Tickets are $85 and are available at the foundation office at UHNBC, Wood Wheaton Supercentre (Hwy 16) and the Prince George Citizen.
12th Annual Polar Bear Dip Tuesday from 2 to 3 p.m. Start the new year in a cool way with the Premier Polar Bear Dip of the North at Ness Lake Bible Camp, 23705 Chief Lake Rd , to support the Camper Sponsorship Fund for the camp. Entry is $20 or get some sponsorship to help the kids. Prizes for top fundraiser and best costume. Costume is optional, but encouraged. Free T-shirt for first 50 participants.
