Theatre North West presents Letter From Wingfield Farm, written by Dan Needles, starring Rob Beattie until Oct. 23. The play is about a stockbroker who buys a hundred-acre farm. As the comic adventures ensue, the main character reports the action in letters to the editor. It's a one-man show with many transformations into several unique characters. Tower of Song: a Creative Tribute to the music of Leonard Cohen with performances by Oliver Swain and Glenna Garramone Friday at Art Space, above Books & Co., 1685 Third Ave. Doors at 7:30, show at 8 p.m. Advance tickets are $18 at Books and Co., or $20 at the door.

Friends of the Public Library book sale takes place Friday 3 to 5 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. at the downtown branch of the library. Friday is for members only and membership is available for $5 at the door.

Five college kids go to a remote cabin in the woods - the perfect set up for a screamfest. That's Evil Dead: The Musical, right in time for Halloween Oct. 23 to Nov. 2 at the Prince George Playhouse.
