Judy Russell Presents auditions for Monty Python's Spamalot, with auditions on Monday and Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m. each evening at the Prince George Playhouse. Auditioners need to be prepared to sing 16 bars of their best vocals. Don't try to sing a piece from the musical, just what's most comfortable, although knowledge of the comedic nature of the show would be wise.
Callbacks for specific roles are chosen from this first audition process. Be aware all chorus roles in Spamalot are physically demanding, with many opportunities to sing solo lines as well as singing in the ensemble. Steve Miller Band comes to CN Centre Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. As a part of the 2014 world tour, the Steve Miller Band will only hit five Canadian cities, and Prince George is one of the select few. This is the Steve Miller Band's first Canadian tour in more than twenty years. Tickets are at all ticketmaster outlets.
The Groop Gallery and the Community Arts Council presents The Best Damn Little Art Auction Ever 2014. There's a call for submissions for this event in any medium for all artists, including students, emerging and professionals. This is a non-juried event with a limit of three submissions per artist. Fifty percent commission on final sale will be retained by the Arts Council and Groop Gallery. E-mail submission interest to [email protected]. Art intake goes April 11 and 12 at Studio 2880, 2820-15th Ave., 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. All unsold art will be returned to artist. All work must be prepared properly for hanging upon delivery.
