God Save the Queen tribute to Queen has postponed their March 13 show at CN Centre until Sept. 14 due to international commitments and demand, said Centtury Artists Management Agency. Tickets purchased for the original show will be honoured at the September show. Tickets on sale at all Ticketmaster outlets.
Duchess Park secondary presents Grease in the school's theatre until March 12. This is the school biggest production to date. All tickets are $10 each and available at the school's office or at Books & Co., 1685 Third Ave.
Saturday, March 8, the UNBC Northern Womens Centre will host their 14th annual Jezebels Jam event at Art Space, above Books & Co., 1685 Third Ave., in celebration of International Womens Day. The evening includes an Eco Fashion Show at 6, Jezebels Jam set to go at 8 p.m. Tickets are $5 in advance for students, $10 for general admission are available at Books and Co. or at the Women's Centre on UNBC campus or $15 at the door.
Singfest SD57 is a major choral event on March 10 and 11 at Vanier Hall. Ten district schools will be participating and the conductor will be Kevin Zakresky from the Prince George Symphony Orchestra, who will work with each choir to improve their sound. The evening starts at 7 p.m. and ends at 8 p.m. with a mass choral piece.
The 9th annual Wine Lovers Dinner presented by the Coast Inn of the North takes place Saturday, March 22 and includes a four-course dinner, each course paired with wines from guest winery, Kettle Valley Winery. Owner of the winery, Bob Ferguson, will discuss the wines. The meal is prepared by the Coasts chef and culinary team. The event begins at 6 p.m. and tickets are $140 per person. All funds raised by the live and silent auction will be used to create the best of care, close to home in the north.
