Jazz quartet Sketches of Eternity from Edmonton are traveling though B.C. and Alberta this summer and will perform at Nancy O's Restaurant, 1261 Third Ave., this Saturday night.

The Little Prince steam train is open for business Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. next door to the Exploration Place Museum at Fort George Park. The 24-inch gauge train runs along a half mile loop. Cost is $2 per person.

The RCMP Musical Ride comes to Prince George Saturday night at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. at the ice oval behind CN Centre. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police Musical Ride is a troop of 32 horses and riders who will entertain the crowd during two shows over the weekend. The stables are open to the public from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. except during show times. Proceeds of ticket sales will be donated to the Two Rivers Crime Prevention Society in support of crime prevention programs. Tickets are $20 for a family pass for two adults and two children under 12. $10 for adults and children under 12 are $5. Cash sales only at the Community Policing office, 575 Brunswick St., RCMP detachment, 999 Brunswick St., and North District RCMP office, 4020 Fifth Ave.

Judy Russell presents Les Miserables at the Prince George Playhouse July 16 to August 3. This musical theatre production still has seats left. Tickets are at Studio 2880, 2820-15th Ave., or call 250-563-2880.

Two Rivers Gallery presents exhibits by David Alexander, The Shape of Place, and Jane Isakson, From the Outer Edges beginning Thursday, July 18 to Sept. 29. The opening is free to the public and will feature Isakson as she gives an artist's talk at 7:30 p.m. The theme of the exhibit is landscapes.

Central Interior Railway & Forestry Museum presents Friends of Thomas Days that go Friday, July 19, Saturday, July 20, Sunday, July 21, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. This is an annual event where the trains are the characters of the show. Children can play games, do activities and ride on the mini rail all with the Thomas the Tank Engine theme. Regular admission applies, except members receive 50 per cent off for this event.
