Outside the Two Rivers Gallery stands a public sculpture called Balance, created by Peter von Tiesenhausen in 2009.
Von Tiesenhausen gives an artist's talk Friday at 7:30 p.m.
"Of all the Artist's Talks I have attended, there is none I have enjoyed as much as Peter von Tiesenhausen's presentation," said Carolyn Holmes, public programs manager of Two Rivers Gallery. "Peter is down to earth and approachable, energetic and inspiring. Above all, he is a storyteller."
An artist on the international stage, von Tiesenhausen lives and works in the small community of Demmitt, Alberta. He studied at Alberta College of Art and Design, participated in projects and exhibitions in Europe, USA, New Zealand and many across Canada.
Tickets are $15 at the door and refreshments will be served.
