Valentine's Day routines can become quite predictable but this year try something different.
The BeezNeez quartet offers a new way to put a song in your loved one's heart with an old fashioned serenade.
This is the ninth year the service is available and the a cappella, four-part harmony singers will visit homes, offices, schools, hospital rooms, pulp mills, garages, meat lockers, all within the bowl area.
There are five songs to choose from including, L.O.V.E. or It Had To Be You for spouses and sweethearts, Somebody Loves You for families, That's What Friends Are For for friends and Can You Feel The Love Tonight, from the Lion King, for children.
"Music has a special power to move us and stir our emotions," said Marilyn Johnson, member of the BeezNeez. "Anyone who has ever wiped tears away from their eyes listening to their favorite song will know how powerful simple notes and chords can be. So if your loved one appreciates music - we are sure that a personal song from you, sung by the BeezNeez quartet, may give you an unexpected reaction that could greatly enhance your Valentine's Day celebrations."
Johnson said she and the other members of the quartet, including Kathy Pereira, Barb Humphries, and Sam Isabelle, have many lovely memories of unique reactions to the serenade, including tears, laughter, and one person who just had to walk away because they were so overwhelmed.
People can send the special Valentine treat to their spouse, child, parent, friend or group of people.
The cost is $25 for the song performance, a flower, and a packet of chocolates.
