Theatre North West found more water for their latest play to swim in.
The hit drama The Girl In The Goldfish Bowl has been extended due to popular demand. Ticket sales were so strong, said TNW staff, that two additional performances have been added.
Fans who couldn't get tickets, couldn't fit the play into their schedule, or wanted to see it again will now have new opportunities on April 28 and 29 to get their theatrical fix.
The Girl In The Goldfish Bowl is a Canadian modern classic that taps the glass of life and see what flounders and what rises to the surface. Playwright Morris Panych has won two Governor General's Awards for his writing, and this play was one of them. He gives the audience a broken family, and a young brokenhearted girl mourning the death of her goldfish. As we know from life, children in an emotional crisis will often transfer the bigger problems they don't understand onto the smaller things in their life. And aren't we all children, after all?
This play stars an all-professional cast assembled from all over Canada. The protagonist girl is portrayed by Natasha Greenblatt. She is joined on stage by David Leyshon, Lauren Brotman, Haig Sutherland and Martha Irving. Daryl Cloran was the director.
Tickets can be purchased online at the TNW website or from Books & Company while supplies last.
