Everyone is welcome to showcase their abilities when Snow Daze Talent Night hits the Treasure Cove Show Lounge stage Friday at 7 p.m.
Fourteen people are signed up to perform so far and more are expected, said Marian Axelson, executive director of Mardi Gras Snow Daze, an annual festival to chase away the winter blahs.
"We've got judges and the top three winners will win prizes," she added.
First place takes $300 in gift certificates from a variety of sponsors of the show. Second place gets $200 in prizes, while third place takes way $100 in prizes.
"We've got singers and hip hop artists, a cappella groups and even a gospel singer on the roster," said Axelson.
Doug Koyama, first place winner from last year's event, will perform about half way through the show.
"Doug is an amazing performer and we're looking forward to his part of the show," said Axelson. "We would like everyone to come and enjoy our local talent. We have some very good entertainers in this city."
Tickets are $10 at the door or at the Snow Daze office, 1529 Eighth Avenue. Drinks and appetizers are available for purchase.
