Studio Fair Marketplace will be held at CN Centre this year and it's going to look a little different.

Studio Fair will take a turn towards a Marketplace instead of the annual juried art fair of the past.

This year the Community Arts Council of Prince George & District will offer a unique event that hosts arts and crafts vendors from the Prince George region and further afield to participate in what could be the biggest Christmas gift fair in local history.

Instead of being held at the Prince George Civic Centre, this year the Studio Fair Marketplace will be held at the CN Centre, including in the rink and the upper concourse level from Nov. 5 to 7.

This will not be a juried event and everyone is welcome to participate.

“Our goal this year is to provide a safe and health regulation-compliant holiday arts fair for the community, and use this unique opportunity to expand and enhance Studio Fair so that once the pandemic is resolved, we can combine our traditional juried artisan event with as many local artisans and crafters as possible,” Sean Farrell, CAC executive director, said. “We are calling this year’s event Studio Fair Marketplace, and we are thrilled to be relocating to the CN Centre to give us the space to keep vendors and visitors as safe as possible.”

Event dates and times are:

· Friday, November 5 from 1 to 8 p.m.

· Saturday, November 6 from 10 am to 6 p.m.

· Sunday, November 7 from 10 am to 4 p.m.

Unlike previous years where there was an admission fee, this year the arts council is asking visitors to donate at the door. All cash donations will go to support the Community Arts Council and its many programs, services and events that benefit the Prince George region.

If interested in becoming a vendor fees are:

· $250 per booth (maximum 2)

· $15 table rental (each – if required)

· $50 electrical supply per vendor (if required). Limited supply. To register as a vendor, please www.studio2880.com.

The 2021 Studio Fair Marketplace will be compliant with all provincial COVID-19 related health requirements.
