The dog days of spring hit Prince George Saturday and Sunday with sanctioned agility dog trials at the Livestock Arena at Exhibition Park.
The North Cariboo SPCA is teaming up with Top Dog Agility to present some fun and worthwhile events. On both days Top Dog will be holding a sanctioned agility trial which is a great spectator sport, said organizer David Greenberg, who invites the public to attend.
"This event will attract top calibre dogs from all over northern B.C., which will compete in various agility games from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days.
"People who come to watch will see some new starter dogs and some seasoned veterans." Admission is by donation to the SPCA which takes the stage at the arena at 6 p.m. Saturday to present the annual "Strut Your Mutt." dog show. A $5 fee allows anyone to enter their "all-Canadian" mixed breed to win prizes in many fun categories. "It will all be lighthearted and entertaining and the proceeds all go to the SPCA," said Greenberg, who can be contacted at 250-563-0905.
