For the first time, Steve Earle will be in Prince George, performing at Vanier Hall Saturday, June 16.

Earle is a master storyteller, with his songs being recorded by many stars including Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Emmylou Harris, Waylon Jennings, Travis Tritt, The Pretenders and Joan Baez. Earle's debut record, Guitar Town, was released in 1986 and shot to number one on country charts, launching the phrase New Country.
Among 12 releases that followed was the hard rock of Copperhead Road in 1988.
Earle has been nominated for 14 Grammy Awards and won three.
His music has been featured on many movies and television shows, including Dead Man Walking and Talladega Nights.
