From there to here, from here to there, funny things are everywhere.
Celebrating Dr. Seuss Day, Books & Company offers fun-filled activities for young and old Sunday and as the saying goes, The Cat in the Hat knows a lot about that.
"General Seussian silliness will ensue," said Nicole Larson, events planner and coordinator for Books & Company, 1685 Third Avenue. "Dr. Seuss's birthday is March 2 so we're celebrating Sunday from 3 to 4:30 p.m."
There will be a special story time including reading The Lorax, which will be coming to the big screen March 2 to honour Seuss's birthday. Other books read will be The Cat in the Hat and Green Eggs and Ham as well as one of Larson's favourites, Fox in Socks.
"We'll do some sort of Seussian crafts and we'll have some Seuss fun," said Larson.
As usual this is a free event in Art Space above Books & Co. and everyone is welcome to bring the children to celebrate.
As Seuss said, you have brains in your head, you have feet in your shoes, you can steer yourself
