It's time for a traditional Scottish celebration as the birth of poet Robbie Burns approaches.
Excalibur Theatre Arts Company will host Robbie Burns Night Jan. 28 at the Ramada Hotel.
"It's a wonderful tradition meant for familes to enjoy," said Bonnie Leach of Excalibur. "I have been attending a Robbie Burns Night since I was four years old. It's not just for Scottish people, it's for anyone who enjoys Scottish traditions."
At the Robbie Burns Night a traditional roast beef dinner will be served with Haggis, a dish only for those with discriminating taste. There will also be bagpipes and lots of high energy Excalibur dancers to entertain, Leach said.
There is a silent auction and a 50/50 draw, too.
Tickets are at Excalibur Theatre Arts Co., 1648 South Ogilvie Street. Adults are $30, seven to 12 are $15, children six and under are free.
