There's a different story to tell about Prince George and the Fraser River Discovery Centre wants to see it through their call for submissions for the fifth edition of Click Photos of the Fraser exhibit, unveiled during RiverFest, the annual celebration of International Rivers Day.

The Centre is looking for images from people of all ages and all walks of life that tell the story of the river and the basin.

The show will be juried and first, second and third place will be honoured.

"This year's theme brings all kinds of possibilities," said Luyi Wang, exhibit coordinator for the Discovery Centre, in a recent news release. "We want to shine the spotlight on communities outside of the lower mainland that are connected by the Fraser River. Whether you are a Prince George resident or just there for a visit, we are looking forward to submissions that tell different stories of the city."

Even if people have never been to the city, photographers are encouraged to explore and capture other connections they might have with Prince George through the mighty Fraser River.

Photos for Click will be on display in the galleries in the Fraser River Discovery centre, online at www.flickr.com/groups/clickphotosofthefraser, and for one month as Cover Photo of the Month on the Discovery Centre's Facebook page.

Submissions will be accepted throughout the year until August 15. For more information, guidelines and an application form, visit www.fraserriverdiscovery.org.

The Fraser River Discovery Centre, located along the Westminster boardwalk at 788 Quayside Drive, is an interpretive centre connecting communities in the discovery and celebration of the living, working Fraser River.
