To celebrate the 40th season the Prince George Symphony Orchestra will hold Pops in the Park a free concert at Fort George Park Sunday at 2 p.m.

The focus for this event is to bring awareness to youth that classical music can be lively and entertaining.

Side by Side is a program to promote youth involvement by offering students with a certain ability and willingness to learn the opportunity to perform beside professionals in the symphony. As a result of this experience students will gain confidence that will help their ability to perform and perhaps also inspire them to seek more music education. During the Pops in the Park keep a look out for these students on stage.

As part of the event people can check out new cars from Northland Hyundai, a co-sponsor of the event.

Everyone is welcome to attend the event and are asked to bring lawn chairs or blankets.
