Alex Mackenzie’s Hungry for Laughs Comedy Tour will return to Prince George on Nov. 18.

All the proceeds from the annual comedy and variety show, sponsored by Canadian Tire, will benefit the Prince George Hospice Society.

Mackenzie grew up in Prince George and cut his comedic teeth performing at Nancy O’s and the former Sonar comedy club.

"That's when I actually learned how to do this and got a little funnier," Mackenzie said in an interview with the Citizen in February

The tour was last in Prince George in March, and that show benefited the Prince George Salvation Army.

In addition to Mackenzie’s stand-up routine, the show features comedians Simon King and Ivan Decker, freestyle rapper Chris Turner and foot archer Orissa Kelly.

Kelly debuted her act on Britain's Got Talent and was referred to as the "hot bendy cupid." She's the only person in the world who shoots flaming arrows with her feet.

King is a veteran comedian who appears at all the festivals and on television's Comedy Network, CBC, CTV, TBS, and Comedy Central.

Decker is a stand up comedian known for his multi-layered observational comedy. He's been filmed at the Just For Laughs Montreal Festival, the Winnipeg and Halifax Comedy Festivals and appeared on CBC and on Sirius XM radio on the Debaters. His comedy album I Wanted to be a Dinosaur was the recipient of the 2018 JUNO award for comedy album of the year.

Turner is a freestyle rapper who is a regular at New York's Comedy Cellar and appeared on Stephen Colbert's Late Show last fall and walked away to a standing ovation.

The mission of the tour is to raise $500,000 for food banks and charitable organizations across Canada by the year 2024.

The show takes place at the Prince George Conference and Civic Centre. Tickets start at $30 and the show begins at 8 p.m.
