This summer Judy Russell presents Les Miserables at the Prince George Playhouse but first the cast has to come together and that means open-call auditions for singer actors.

Since the play will be showcased at the Playhouse, the auditions will be held there as well, on Saturday, Jan. 26 from 2 to 6 p.m. and Sunday, Jan. 27 from 1 to 5 p.m.

"I'm expecting people to come prepared with their best 16 bars of any song they feel does their voice justice," said Judy Russell. "Please come in comfortable clothing, too, because if you can move, it's considered a bonus."

Rehearsal time for the play will be an intense and lengthy time commitment of about four months, including a 15-show run from July 16 to August 3.

"We would like to audition those who are 15 years and older first," said Russell. "Auditioners for specific roles will be selected from those who come out for the open-call auditions. We will hold the children's auditions in February. This is really exciting and everyone is so thrilled about it."

Call for an appointment to audition at 250-563-2902.
