Imagination Movers are four longtime friends from New Orleans that formed a rock band, writing songs and performing for children.

Imagination Movers include Rich Collins, Scott Durbin, Dave Poche, and Scot 'Smitty' Smith, who will take to the Vanier Hall stage at 4 and 6:30 p.m. Friday, May 3.

The group specializes in positive educational songs for children with catchy lyrics and melodies.

The band created several independent albums, including Good Ideas in 2003, Calling All Movers in 2004, and Eight Feet in 2005, along with a DVD, Stir It Up, in 2004. Disney signed the Imagination Movers in 2008 with their first Disney album called Juice Box Heroes.

Soon after, the Movers were part of Disney's Playhouse television programming for preschoolers. Imaginations Movers also released the album For Those About to Hop in 2009.
