Some musicians are the kind you bring home.
Their music is a perfect fit for your living room or back deck. Six such acts are coming soon to a Prince George address.
All these acts arrange these intimate concert appearances through the Home Routes organization. Home Routes announced their 2016-17 schedule for Prince George, and the first concert is today. It is solo singer-songwriter Jay Aymar from Ontario.
"Jay's been described as a Canadian everyman, because he gets his songs from the people he meets, and they are as complicated - and simple - as the drifter in the tap room, the traveller in the bus station and the school teacher at Starbucks," said a Home Routes spokesperson.
"He gets ideas from movies, great books and trash novels, and tunes he hears on the radio as the station fades between Manitoba and Saskatchewan."

The next concert on the Home Routes agenda in Prince George is Oct. 17 when Ontario duo Washboard Hank & Sweet Muriel come to town.
The info line for that show is 250-962-6092.
Victor Anthony will be the musical guest on Nov. 15 (call 250-564-5299), Quebec band Sussex will be here on Feb. 1 (details to be announced), the All Day Breakfast String Band will be here from Quebec on March 2 (250-564-5299), then B.C. soloist T. Nile will be in Prince George on March 31 (250-962-6092).
Each home concert host has their own capacity for music lovers and their own way of including food in the festivities. Ticket prices vary but generally hover around the $20 mark.
