Groop Gallery is offering a challenge to local artists.
This winter the Groop exhibition's theme is Home. Deadline is November 15.
"Being the northern breed that we are, we spend so much time indoors over the long cold winter months that this theme seemed to be rather fitting," said Melanie Desjardines, owner of the gallery.
"The word 'home' may conjure up a different vision for each of us. It may invoke a sense of family, love, warmth, security, comfort, or may simply signify a roof over our heads. Alternatively, some may sense confinement, stress or difficult memories."
Submit quality images of artwork to [email protected], including title, size, medium, price. Include a brief statement linking the piece to the theme. Statements may or may not be displayed with exhibited work. There is no limit to number of submissions. If accepted, there is a $10 fee to exhibit each piece.
