Theatre North West and marketing professional Marnie Hamagami have joined forces.
The professional theatre company had undergone some personnel changes and needed to fill the key job of sales and outreach manager.
Hamagami is one of the best-known public relations personalities in the city, with high-profile past positions at the Prince George Cougars Hockey Club and the Prince George Symphony Orchestra, plus in volunteer positions as a board member of organizations like the Community Arts Council and Performing Arts Centre Society.
"My main objective in this new role is to implement the systems that (TNW co-founder) Anne Laughlin created," said Hamagami. "She is an incredible arts administrator, one of the best in the city/region and she left some great systems."
Hamagami has been working in a shadow capacity with TNW for a few weeks, to learn the ropes as their last play of the season unfolds.
She was also involved at the board level in fundraising initiatives like the scotch socials that have proven successful for the theatre company.
She is now fully in place as the general manager of the theatre company.
