Tonight at Groop Gallery, the works of emerging painter Jose Delgado-Guevara will be revealed.
This is Delgado-Guevara's second solo exhibition in the past few months. He was also featured at the Two Rivers Gallery in the Rustad Galaria show-space, and now the city's premier private gallery is giving him the spotlight as well.
He is best known as one of the city's highest ranking musicians. He is the concertmaster of the Prince George Symphony Orchestra, one of the leaders of the Prince George Conservatory of Music, and has joined with jazz bandmaster Eric Tompkins for some of his fusion concerts.
But he began taking painting lessons with celebrated visual artist Corey Hardeman and unlocked a hidden passion for the brush. The latest results are collected into an exhibition entitled Vestuario which opens tonight with a reception and artist's talk at Groop Gallery, starting at 7 p.m.
