Foley bringing one-man show to playhouse

In a field of outlandish athlete entertainers, in a genre saturated in showmanship, Mick Foley is even extraordinary on that stage.

In a field of outlandish athlete entertainers, in a genre saturated in showmanship, Mick Foley is even extraordinary on that stage. The three-time WWE champion is also a bestselling author (four memoirs, four children's books, and two novels) who was atop the New York Times bestseller list for 26 weeks with his first autobiography Have a Nice Day came out in 1999.

Foley has held the spotlight in film and television acting roles, in voiceover work for animation shows, and is a popular guest on the nighttime talk show circuit. Now Prince George gets to enjoy this entertainment wrestling star, actor, author and commentator in person. Foley - otherwise known in the ring as Hardcore Legend, Mankind and Cactus Jack - will be live at the PG Playhouse on Sept. 20.

"As sole proprietor of his one-man stage show Hardcore Legend: An Evening With Mick Foley, [he showcases] his trademark blend of wildness and warmth, and combines the humour fans loved from his books and in-ring promos with the intensity of his most famous matches," said a written statement from tour organizers. "[The one-man show is] by turns uproariously funny, simply surreal, and surprisingly sensitive - a full-course meal for the senses, including Q-and-A and meet-and-greet - all done with the use of just one, solitary F-bomb. His shows have already garnered a collection of stellar reviews from around the globe."

General admission is $30 and VIP tickets including personal meeting with Foley are $35 tickets (local service charges and taxes may apply). Tickets are available now at www.brownpapertickets.com.
