Fiction award offers $1,000 prize to local writers

Creative writing could net $1,000 prize to the lucky winner of John Harris's third annual Fiction Award. Northern B.C. residents are invited to submit a maximum of 10,000 words. Humour, intelligence and courage are appreciated.

Northern B.C. residents are invited to submit a maximum of 10,000 words. Humour, intelligence and courage are appreciated.

Deadline is midnight March 1, 2012.

To enter the contest send four copies of the work to Graham Pearce, office 1-335, English program, College of New Caledonia, 3330 - 22nd Avenue, Prince George, BC, V2N 1P8 or pearceg@cnc.bc.ca.

Include word count and a cover page with full name, title of story and contact information. Use the story title as a header.

Multiple entries are welcome and there is no entry fee for the contest.

The winner will be announced at the end of March. Further details will be announced.
