Cafe Voltaire at Books & Co., 1685 Third Avenue, will hold Open Mic night part two on Friday. People will get another chance to showcase their talent. The stage opens at 8 p.m. As always, there is no cover charge.

Northern regional Pond Hockey championships will be held Friday to Sunday at West Lake provincial park. There are all kinds of matches within seven categories. No slapshots and no whistles for 30 minutes of four-on-four hockey. For more information visit www.bcpondhockey.com.

The Prince George Accommodation Association is holding a chili cook-off during the Pond Hockey championships at West Lake provincial park from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. It costs $5 to test the chili with all proceeds going to the Rotary Club of Prince George. Taste testers can win prizes for voting.

Improv Ad Nauseum is P.G.'s answer to Whose Line Is It Anyway? and it's set for Saturday night at 8 at the Twisted Cork so audience members can sit back, eat, drink and be merry. Advance tickets are $10 at Twisted Cork or at the door $12.50.
