Warm Up for Coldsnap sees Delhi 2 Dublin at the Ramada Tuesday at 7:30.
These fan favourites will be showcasing a new album Planet Electric featuring their sound of electro, acoustic, Celtic, Punjabi fusion complimented by a touch of Reggae, breakbeat, drum n' bass and hip hop.
The members of this Vancouver-based band come from different backgrounds and have many musical influences. The band includes Tarun Nayar, tabla, electronics; Kytami, fiddle; Sanjay Seran, vox; Andrew Kim, electric sitar, guitar; and Ravi Binning, dhol.
The band started as a one-time performance group in 2006 and the collaboration was so well received they were asked to play again, and the band was formed.
Because the style of music the band plays is so difficult to pin down to one genre, it allows the members to explore music as they wish, letting the sound and style speak for itself.
The show will be held Tuesday at the Ramada ballroom at 7:30 p.m. It is an all-ages show.Tickets are $20 and are available at Books & Co., Studio 2880 and the UNBC bookstore.
