An agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. will be on duty at Northern FanCon.

It might be he who needs the superhero security, though. When Brett Dalton arrives at CN Centre – known internationally for his role as Agent Grant Ward on the hit series Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. – the rush of fluttering hearts might trigger seismic incidents.

He is a true Hollywood heartthrob, coming in person on May 13 to meet the Prince George public.

If you don't know Dalton from the superhero show, perhaps his other roles caught your eye.

He was in the TV movie Nurses, the Tom Selleck crime series Blue Bloods, the Lifetime Network series Army Wives – all on the small screen.

Or in big-screen parts like in the ensemble cast of Beside Still Waters with a who's who of young Hollywood talent (Ryan Eggold, Jessy Hodges, Will Brill, Britt Lower and others).

He was also in the TV movie Killing Lincoln for the National Geographic Channel. It also featured narrator Tom Hanks and Regen Wilson as Lincoln.

It was famed writer-director Joss Whedon who pulled back the curtain to reveal Dalton's true star capabilities. Whedon picked Dalton for the major recurring role as Grant Ward, working alongside lead agent Phil Coulson, as the S.H.I.E.L.D. action rampages through prime-time television each week.

Watch for Dalton to appear also in the soon-to-be-released film The Tourist directed by Evan Oppenheimer, and his voice is heard in the Playstation 4 game Until Dawn.

He will be seen and heard at Northern FanCon where autograph lines will form and he will deliver a live public interview on stage.
