Until May 31 Vivian Martin's and Doris Dittaro's work is highlighted in the special gallery at Studio 2880, 2880-15th Avenue.

Vivian Martin moved to Prince George about 25 years ago and has enjoyed the laid-back lifestyle and outdoor activities the region has to offer, she said.

"Being the outdoorsy type, I found I didn't wear showy jewelry, thinking it was too fancy for my lifestyle," Martin said. "I could never find jewelry that really suited me, so in the last year I started making my own. I'm very fortunate because I'm able to combine my love for photography and my attention to detail when I decided to make wire-sculpture jewelry."

She uses her photography skills to showcase her jewelry on her website and Facebook page.

Martin creates necklaces, bracelets, rings, earrings, sets, men's and children's jewelry. Most pieces are made with natural stones and leather instead of chain for a more natural feel.

"I think of my jewelry as comfy-casual and classy and affordable," explained Martin.
