Santa will soon be on his way, and what's better to get everyone in the holiday spirit than tiny prancing dancers entertaining onlookers during their Christmas recital?

Excalibur Theatre Arts Co. holds their annual student showcase Saturday Nov. 26 at Vanier Hall.

"The recital involves all the kids in the studio from three-year-olds to our competitive dancers," said artistic director at Excalibur, Bonnie Leach.

"They all get to do a Christmas-themed dance. We have three shows on Saturday, Jingle Bellies at 11 a.m., for the little ones, Winter Wonderland is at 2 p.m. for our recreational students and the evening performance, open to the public, called Holiday Magic is at 7 p.m."

All competitive dancers are showcased during Holiday Magic.

"Some of the dancers will perform the numbers they are preparing for the spring dance festival as well as Christmas-themed dances," said Leach. "It's a huge variety show with jazz, tap, Highland, ballet, hip hop, contemporary and lyrical. It will be a nice Christmas celebration and a great evening of dance."

Tickets are at the Excalibur dance studio, 1648 Ogilvie Street South. $15 adults, $8 for students and seniors.
