Theatre North West is still on the look out for two actors to play 12-year-old Laurie, a character from The Brighton Beach Memoirs.
A hilarious and touching portrait of family life, Brighton Beach Memoirs is widely considered Neil Simon's best play.
The gig would be a rare opportunity for budding actors as old as 15 to convincingly play a 12-year-old girl and work with a professional cast from across Canada.
TNW's former artistic director Ted Price has taken on the task of directing this production, which is presented April 19 to May 6, with a possibility of more shows depending on demand.
Registration forms and information sheets are available at Books & Co., 1685 Third Avenue. Completed forms must be submitted to Books & Co. no later than Feb. 3. Rehearsals will begin April 2. Auditions will be held in mid-February. Those selected for auditions will be contacted with further details.
