Karl Standeven, longtime local blues musican, will perform at Ohhh...Chocolat Cafe Friday night at 7:30 as part of the concert series that is set to encourage people to enjoy downtown Prince George.
"It's just going to be me and a number of guitars and I will perform original stuff, mostly blues based and it's going to be pretty low key," said Standeven. "I will do some accoustic some electric and some slide. It's going to be a singer songwriter evening."
Standeven has been singing since he was nine years old and writing since he was 13, he said.
He's been in several bands and plays at his church, too.
"I've been doing quite a few things over the years and people might best remember me as part of the Rutabaga Chilluns," said Standeven, who's been part of the P.G. music scene since 1992.
"I've been doing a lot of coffee houses and cabaret stuff."
Tickets for the concert are on sale at the Caf, 565 George Street. Tickets are $20, which includes $10 towards a food purchase during the show.
