Alternative-rock band Bend Sinister, one of B.C.'s most lauded groups in recent years, has put a regional tour date on their schedule.
They announced 12 new appearances this spring and summer.
Three are in Alberta, one in Saskatchewan and the rest are in their home province including a stop in Wells on July 29.
Bend Sinister (named for a Vladimir Nabokov novel) was formed in Kelowna but now calls Vancouver their home base.
To date, the band has released four studio albums and three EP's. Bend Sinister has toured extensively, playing to sold-out crowds in North America and Europe and has shared stages with the likes of Awolnation, Metric, Hollerado, Bad Religion and Flying Colors.
The band has also been nominated for numerous awards including, most recently, Songwriters of the Year at the 2015 Western Canadian Music Awards and Best Emerging Band in Prog Rock Magazine's Progressive Music Awards.
Their appearance in the village of Wells coincides with the opening night of the annual ArtsWells Festival of All Things Art.
