Canada exhibit

Across Canada Exhibit at the Two Rivers Gallery, 725 Civic Plaza, goes until Jan. 15. The exhibit features work from Kathryn Rohl and Lorraine Young at the Rustad Galleria. For more information call 250-614-7800.

Say woof

Pet photos with Santa is an SPCA Fundraiser held Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Quackers Canine Quisine, 844A 4th Ave. Bring your furry friend for portraits with Santa Claus. $20 will get you a CD with all of your photos. Photography by Alex Zander. Appointments preferred but drop-ins are welcome. All proceeds benefit the North Cariboo BCSPCA. For more information call 250-563-3647.

Book signing

Margaret Pascuzzo and Coral Chen will host book signings Saturday from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Books & Co., 1685 Third Avenue. Pascuzzo will sign copies of Anton Series as well as A Sad Day in The Desert and Joey's First Christmas. Chen will sign copies of her illustrated and translated Chinese fables, The Old Man Who Lost His Horse and When Winter Fades Away.

Elvis is back

Elvis Blue Christmas and Gospel concert Saturday at 7 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, 483 Gillett Street. Tickets are $30 (cash only) at the Prince George Citizen, 150 Brunswick St., Wood Wheaton Supercentre, 2879 Hwy 16 West or call 250-564-4466. All proceeds will go to the Northern Recovery Support Center for Women.

Sing-along

Handel's Messiah Sing-along presented by the Prince George Cantata Singers at St. Michael and All Angels Anglican Church, 1505 Fifth Avenue, Sunday from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. A great event for the season. Christmas adventure

Polar Express Christmas Adventure Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. Bring the family to get into the holiday spirit. Watch the Polar Express, then take a bus tour of the Northern Lights Festival on Connaught Hill, then end the evening back at the theatre with a visit with Santa. $10 adults, $7 children three-plus and students. All proceeds go to the Canadian Diabetes Association. Tickets are available at Scotiabank on Victoria Street, cash only.

Bring a new toy or non-perishable food item for the Salvation Army for a chance at some great prizes.

White Christmas

Golden Cinema at the library features White Christmas (1954) Thursday at 1 p.m. Watch this classic film starring Bing Crosby. This is a free event at the Bob Harkins branch of the library, 887 Dominion Street.
