Northern B.C. Queer Connection Society is hosting a Spring Fling fundraiser to support the annual Pride Picnic and its ongoing work in the community.
The Spring Fling event will kick off with a variety show featuring local homegrown talent before DJ and electronic music producer Riki Rocket returns to her hometown to rock the crowd after playing sold out shows across the province.
Riki Rocket is an Indigenous LGBTQ Canadian DJ and Electronic Music Producer who’s been working professionally in the music industry since 2002.
She’s performed on a global scale, kicking off her career in Brighton England after moving to the UK in 1999 and held many club residencies during her decade abroad.
Notably she’s performed at Sydney Mardi Gras in Australia, Dinah Shore Long Weekend in Palm Springs, Dublin Pride, London and Brighton Pride and an L-Word Meet and Greet in Gatwick, UK.
As a result, Riki Rocket has been able to curate her energy filled, trademark sound to captivate dance floors all over, making her a club favourite in the electronic and 2SLGBTQIA+ music scene.
She now currently resides on the Sunshine Coast, but continues her DJ residency with FlyGirl Productions in Vancouver, known for their 2SLGBTQIA+ Long Weekend Parties and Pride Events.
She’s now bringing her charisma and talent back to Prince George for the upcoming Spring Fling fundraiser.
The event takes place on April 1 at the Ignite Night Club and tickets are $20 at the door or available in advance through Eventbrite.
