Up to 25 cm of snow is expected to fall on Eagle Pass over the next 24 hours, according to Environment Canada.

Meanwhile, a snowfall warning has been issued for the North Thompson, Chilcotin and neighbouring regions.

Up to 15 cm of the white stuff is in the forecast for the North Thompson, a result of a frontal system passing from west to east. Snow will start this evening and peak overnight, according to the warning.

"Total snow accumulations of 10 to 15 cm can be expected before the snow tapers off to a few flurries near midday Friday," reads the online bulletin.

The nearby regions of the Cariboo, Chilcotin and inland central coast have similar warnings. Farther inland, through the Shuswap and Columbia, warnings for higher altitude mountain passes are in place between Eagle Pass and Rogers Pass.

"Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow," states the warning.
