RCMP are on the lookout for those behind the "hotwiring" of two bulldozers in an effort to pull their own vehicle out of the mud.
Police said members of the Vanderhoof detachment were called to the Barlow Lake forest service road Wed., May 19 - where it appeared someone had been off-roading and got stuck.
A nearby D8 bulldozer was hotwired and that too became stuck when used to try to retrieve the original vehicle. A second D8 was then hotwired, the vehicle was pulled out and those involved left the area.
Damage to the bulldozers was estimated at $500,000.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Vanderhoof RCMP at 250-567-2222.
