Park Play Days are back in Prince George.

From now until the beginning of September, Engage Sport North is offering free programming on weekdays from 9 a.m. until noon at parks throughout the community for children 2-12 years old.

Trained program leaders guide kids through physical literacy games and activities designed to help them enjoy being physically active while developing important fundamental movement skills.

Each day is different, children will be introduced to a variety of sports and sports skills while playing outside with their peers in a safe and fun environment. Children aged six and older may be dropped off with the leaders for up to 3three hours. Children five and under need to be accompanied by an adult.

The group meets at Polaris Montessori Elementary on Mondays (no session on August 7), Duchess Park on Tuesdays, PGSS lower field (beside Masich Place Stadium) on Wednesdays, Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park (Bandshell) on Thursdays and Corporal Darren Fitzpatrick Bravery Park on Fridays.

Sessions are drop-in only, with no registration required. Visit the Engage Sport North website to view the full Park Play Days schedule at www.engagesportnorth.com.
