A teenaged snowmobiler carrying five ounces of cocaine ran into a police vehicle in Thompson, Man. on Feb. 23.
RCMP officers spotted a snowmobiler in a wooded area near the Heritage North Museum around 7 p.m. Sunday and drove towards him when the snowmobiler tried to drive off and ran into the door of a police vehicle. The driver then tried to run away from police, who caught him and arrested him soon afterward, finding approximately five ounces of cocaine in his possession.
The snowmobiler, a 17-year-old male from Thompson, faces multiple drug trafficking charges and was released to appear in court at a later date.
