Daisy is down to eight lives and counting.
The fluffy feline went on an unplanned road trip in the engine compartment of the family car.
And if it wasn't for a washer fluid warning sensor, the ordeal could have been much worse.
Camillia Courts said she and her daughter, Layla, were driving to West Kelowna when a sensor indicated the vehicle was out of windshield washer fluid.
As she was in Lake Country, Courts decided to stop and fill the washer fluid.
When she looked under the hood, she saw the family cat looking up at her.
“There was my indoor cat. She like, looked up and me and went 'meow,” said Courts. “She jumped out and I chased her around the parking lot, grabbed her and put her in the back seat with my daughter who was so surprised.
“She is an indoor cat so I have no idea how or when she got outside. It is very bizarre. If it hadn't been for that sensor I never would have looked under the hood.”
Courts said she now checks the hood for Daisy, or any other cars before she goes anywhere.
Daisy was not injured during the adventure and is now back home safe and sound.
