A woman’s clothing got stuck in the door of a moving vehicle, and she was dragged down a Kelowna street.
Police officers, paramedics, and firefighters rushed to Water Street just in front of City Hall about 9:45 p.m. Tuesday (July 2).
A woman, in her fifties, exited the brown Suzuki Vitara from the passenger side when her clothing became “entangled” in the vehicle’s door.
“The passenger fell, and was dragged a short distance when the driver started to pull away,” says Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey.
Police say the woman, who is from the Upper Fraser Valley, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital.
The driver was emotionally distraught over what police are calling a very unfortunate incident.
