A teen is in hospital with stab wounds after a fight broke out over a limo for hire in Downtown Vancouver early this morning (June 15).
Police say the assault took place just before 3:00 a.m. when two groups of teens got into an argument over the limo on Seymour Street near Dunsmuir.
“The dispute turned violent, and a 19-year-old was stabbed and suffered serious injuries,” a police statement says.
The teen remains in hospital in a stable condition.
Another teen was punched during the fight and suffered minor injuries. Police say he was offered medical attention at the scene and declined it.
Police say the groups did not know each other.
They say the suspects, all young men, fled the scene before officers arrived, but were arrested shortly after. The suspects remain in custody.
Vancouver Police is calling on witnesses to help with the investigation.
